Southside 12U Thunder Captures Region 3 Silver Championship
The Southside 12U Thunder captured the USSSA Recreational All-Stars Silver Championship for Region 3, defeating the Pell City 12U All-Stars by a score of 15-4. James McGuire got the win for the Thunder, pitching a complete game and striking out five batters. Catcher Cayden James caught two runners stealing and had a great day at the plate, going a perfect 3-for-3, with a triple. Third baseman Jacob Chastain led all Southside batters with a home run in the first inning and a triple in the third. The Thunder move on to the State USSA Rec All-Stars tournament starting Thursday, June 13.
