SOUTHSIDE SUPPORTERS
As a volunteer-run non-profit organization, Southside Ball Association depends on the financial support and "sweat equity" of its Community for its success. Maintaining high-quality playing fields, hiring and managing umpires and officials, supplying teams with equipment, and managing up to thirty teams a season requires a lot of time and a lot of funding! Southside strives to be an inclusive and diverse baseball community, so our registration fees do not cover the costs of our baseball operations. On top of that, we offer need-based scholarships in order to make sure that no player is turned away for financial reasons.
What that means is that we need the support of our Community in order to maintain our success. In order to provide volunteers with a means to get involved, we created the Southside Supporters. By signing up as a Southside Supporter, you will have the opportunity to contribute to Southside's success in a way that matches your resources and your skills - whether through financial contributions, by volunteering to help with field and grounds maintenance, assisting with fundraising, or a number of other avenues. We know you are all very busy with your work, your families, your churches and other civic organizations, and we want to make sure that we're not placing a heavy burden on any of our volunteers.
